I have the same problem with the arrow keys, but I'm trying to connect
through an Ubuntu 8.10 server with freenx
0.7.3+svn612-0freenxteam11~intrepid1 to windows machines (vm's and real
machines). I use the NX Java applet, but also when I try to connect from
my Ubuntu 8.10 machine it won't work.

I used usb-creator to create a live-system and just installed alsa-firmware.

Here's a guess: 1360x768 is the native resolution of HDTVs, which
probably don't do EDID, and they will just work if xorg uses that by
default?

When updating the kernel I got a question from dpkg about a difference
between my menu.lst and the package one. To me it wasn't clear what that
package one was and I feard it would overwrite my local additions, so I
choose to keep the local one.
First round of debugging on Till's computer: This works in the guest
session, but not in his account. Also, gnome-settings-daemon --no-daemon
--debug doesn't tell anything about handling key shortcuts (even if it
works).
Needs gdb debug session.

Same for me. Using the Guidance Power Manager applet, the screen is
locked upon resume. Using the default KDE way, the session is unlocked
upon resume, which means that everyone can read my mail etc.
