I use mint (have for a bout a year) and yes you can install it from a
usb drive just like Ubuntu.

I have to say that I didn't like Mint at all... took me ages to
reconfigure it so that it reverted to, effectively, a default Ubuntu.
In terms of Linux I think I'm a Ubuntu man through and through - not
really sure what Mint is trying to do but it's not my thing I'm
afraid.

até funcionam, mas a qualidade não é boa. Sempre falta alguma coisa e o

Oi pessoal.
Só consegui conectar a internet da Vivo assim: formatando e instalando
o bom e velho 8.04.
Agora depois de uma atualização o gerenciador de rede resolveu parar de vez.
Alguém me dá umas dicas de como configurá-lo para acessar a porta do
modem (USB), e assimilar (conectar o sistema) ao
Onilton, já tenho esse script implementado na minha máquina, pois já tinha lido
isso por aí e por isso hoje consigo acessar a internet, na verdade no meu caso
depois de noites em claro ... só consegui funcionar colocando o dito no
~/.xprofile ... mas o meu rate está setado para 11M ... e aí
César de Araújo, gostei da analogia do cachorro pequeno , mas valente
eheheheh... vou dar uma olhada sim... mas o negócio é que tenho um projeto para
entregar em java + mysql + glassfish ... e apanhei um bocado para configurar
isso no ubuntu... Vc já configurou algo parecido nesse puppy ? Só

Eu to instalando fazendo teste aqui na minha maquina, não tem firewall
habilitado.
ta dando esse erro, e não encontro nada parecido na net com problema

Olá pessoal, eu percebi uma coisa no meu ubuntu, porém não sei se ocorre com
todos. Em proteção de tela, se eu seleciono tela vazia, e fico sem usar o
pc, a tela preta é ativada, no entanto ao mexer o mouse a tela retorna ao
normal, porém, percebi que ao escolher uma outra proteção de tela

Уже вторые выходные собираюсь переходить с 64 на 32х битную. у меня CoreDuo
2 4Gb RAM.
Моя проблема - wine. На данный момент реализована только 32х битрая версия
wine.
Для ее сборки необходимы танцы с бубнами (нужно скачать 32х битные
библиотеки и указать сборщику где их брать через наруливание
Хм... у меня вайн прекрасно встал из офф репов вайна. Никаких проблем не
наблюдал.

У меня 2Gb памяти и 64хбитный процессор. Ubuntu 9.04 amd64 работает
ощутимо быстрее. Заметно особенно на гноме, который никогда не отличался
быстротой реакции интерфейса. Остальное же ничем не отличается от
32хбитной сборки, кроме того, что Flash работает через nsplaginwrapper
или как-там зовут
