OK, i made a test:
Cold machine: 14 min until shutdown
than 30 min md5sum /dev/zero : 4 min until shutdown
heat may be of influence to the problem but in no other program! (I use
a lot of high cpu consuming scientific programms over a long time
without any spontaneous shutdowns...)

Looks fine; just using python-central and not passing -i to dh_* but

xchat's connect accelerator key is not correct

In xchat's server connect dialog, the connect button isn't displaying
the accelerator correctly and not working correctly; it's displayed as
c_onnect (see attached screenshot) and alt-o does not actually make
the connection.
