I had this bug on karmic, it is fixed by commenting the 4 iso checking lines
in /usr/bin/uck-gui.
So i reached 3 step after that. but now it says : $ sudo: no tty present and

hm_shurt I used mem=4G iommu=off kernel parameters instead and now I've only
have 3Gb recognized (instead of 4Gb) but most important, everything works like
a charm ! No more kernel panic. Network Manager works great under Gnome, but I

Confirmed problem at Compaq cq60-140ew. Lspic -v at pastie:
