Same Problem here. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04, the problem is occuring since
I upgraded to kernel 2.6.32-24, but that could be a coincidence.

I use lucid 64bit on my desktop and a 32bit version on my laptop.
At first i had this problem only on the 64bits version but now, maybe

In the Maverick Kernel (tested with 2.6.35-19) the eGalax/DWAV
touchscreen (USB ID 0eef:480d) found in the Eee PC T101MT doesn't send
multitouch events although the correct module hid_egalax is included in

I will admit, that it is different than the wallpaper for 10.04. It no
longer looks like grape juice and cottage cheese vomit.
It looks like some chemically flavored frozen orange desert was added to
the menu.

That strange orange dots destroy all the beauty of the lucids wallpaper.
Common canonical, maverick is an awesome release it's not time to die on
