Yes, happens everytime.
Simply shut down and reboot. The partition is unreadable without a fsck.
In my case, I have a multi-boot machine, and I usually let OS X take
care of the fsck.
So I can reboot OS X without any problem, but if I boot Linux it leaves
the disk in a bad state.

When I log into Gnome even failsafe it freezes. It starts to load then after

The source of this problem is really close to the heart of the panel's
design. It allows user-defined positions for applets, and these are

Tested that with the following results:
In gnome-session the TV was not detected when the cable was plugged in.
I found the settings for monitor in the normal Ubuntu place, but the TV would
only activate when the netbook monitor was de-activated.
Restarting with the TV plugged in had the TV

I'd argue against that, we're dealing with a torrent file here, it has
little importance to many as it is only a link to a file. Risk is not a

This sounds like it is most likely a corrupted filesystem on the stick.
Can you please try formatting the stick (You can use the Erase Disk
option in usb-creator) and trying again?
