Actually you are right, I had two microphones (it was shown just in the alsa
mixer not in the Input panel of sound preference). But I have selected the
correct one.
Anyway I solved the problem by installing the new version of alsa driver
(1.0.23) by hands.
removing the duplicate. The other bug was about not being able to open a
new nautilus window because of this thumb. Now people can, which is
better, but we still have the thumb.
So, letting the other fix released a keep this one for this specific
issue.

Didn't work for me too. I have a 10 GB free unallocated space and
choosing the alongside option, ubiquity wants to resize another
partition.
It would be great if some developers could explain the criteria adopted
by ubiquity besides this installation mode.

I sent apport again as i am currently suffering from partial GUI lock-
ups while sending files to NFS Server. My experience is that Nautilus
stalls, panels are ok but take ages to react to mouse clicks, etc. All
new Nautilus windows open after 2-3 minutes after clicking on them.

I read somewhere that different configurations/ GRUB boot options are
passed by default depending on the hardware (something to do with a DMI
list) e.g. i8042.noloop or similar is passed for laptop class machines
but not desktop.

lid and the sleep button worked like a charm. In Maverick they simply do
nothing when running KDE. They work well when I logout or switch to a

This is easily reproducible when sending a lot of big files (+50-600MB)
to low bandwidth NFS Servers (WLAN,DSL, etc).
Another thing is that while I was Sending files to the NFS Server, I
tried to copy files from a Samba server and got the error message File
Descriptor error or something like
