I installed Kubuntu 10.10 Final on same laptop twice, using same CD
media. Differences between two installation:
First installation: NO seperate HOME partition selected, used only / .
Installation started clicking Install Kubuntu desktop icon. This
installation is clear and NO could not load

I'm having the same exact issue with MythTV. I'm not having any issues with
lirc though, I just can't perform the Watch TV function. It just ends my
session.
The backend still records shows, and I can still watch it on the front-end, but

I am able to boot up in failsafe mode and run failsafex in low
resolution mode, getting the popup message: 'could not apply stored
monitor settings'. None of the other items on the failsafe menu, such as

In my case, on 1024*768 screen resolution, the preferences window is too
high, so I cannot see the button at the bottom. Since the preferences

When upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, exchange mail accounts no longer work in
Evolution. When clicking the account, the folder structure won't expand and the
account does not send or receive e-mail (although) it does appear in

Gnome Power Manager on Maverick does not show the incorrect behavior.
Tested it in a ThinkPad T61p and on an Acer AspireOne. On both machines
