My layout still has both GB and US keyboard layouts, the notification
bar still states GB when US is actually in effect and after specifying
GB explicitly the layout jumps back to US randomly.

Sorry i've suscribed Trasnsmission just to have another, and much expert

This seems surely related to something shared by all the involved applications,

There's a handy utility called RAMMap for Windows that explains what's

Active torrent files get cached into the active part of RAM that clogs
up the system as it can't be overwritten by other programs
