Getting 1.6-1 from Debian unstable doesn't work for me, in Karmic. It has a dependency that breaks a package, specifically libfontconfig1. It needs 2.8.0, and breaks 2.6.0. Well, libfontconfig1 needs fontconfig- config, which is what actually breaks it, but that's besides the point. This package
