Hello,
In fact, my installation is not quite standard, and apport is no longer
installed.
On the other hand, I have the problem changed a few minutes ago by
replacing the obsolete PPA of otto-kesselgulasch by that of ubuntuhandbook,
and by uninstalling, then reinstalling Gimp.
Another error
Public bug reported:
```
GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.10.30
I can confirm that the bug is still present in 3.2.0-40.
I noticed when updating the kernel, the paliatif disappeared and I had to
reinstall it.
Fortunately, it is still effective.
I have the same problem on xubuntu 12.04 x64.
3.2.0-38 works fine.
3.2.0-39 and the new 3.2.0-40 freeze my system after few minutes or hours.
Same bug confirmed on Sony VAIO VPC-EB3E1E, with same Wifi chipset :
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1000
Fortunately, the same workaround can resolve the issue by limiting wifi
modes to B/G
Acer 1810 TZ; wifi was ok on my previous installation(Ubuntu 10.10).
Fresh install of Xubuntu 12.04, fully updated : cannot connect to my
I have seen here several bug reports that seem to challenge this chipset
(centrino wireless-N), but nothing
I finally found a workaround based on limiting wifi to mode wifi G.
In a terminal :
echo options iwlwifi 11n_disable = 1 | sudo tee / etc / modprobe.d /
iwlwifi.conf
sudo modprobe -rfv iwlwifi
sudo modprobe iwlwifi
Now, the wifi works, even if limited in speed.
Not sure it is the same PB, but :
- ISO alternate 12.04 beta1, AMD64
- install on 2HD - RAID 1 + LVM (3 LV for /, /home + swap)
Installation failed at end, on grub-install
I have noted than the command try to install grub only on 1 disk (grub-install
/dev/sdb).
When the choice is proposed, I
fresh install on Acer AspireOne 722, updated; sometime, the netbook
freeze.
