Setting up an old laptop for a person used to using OSX so set touchpad
scroll direction to be Reversed. It works in nearly all applications and
windows but the Application Finder still scrolls in the standard
direction, rather than change with this setting.

I ran ubuntu 16.04 live from usb and it has sound. I installed it with
updates and no sound. I installed it without updates and sound works.

using the Trusty packages as there is functionality changes in 1.6.10
which cause it to be really unpleasant for me to use! As 16.04 has a
newer version of libglib2.0-0 I have come across the issues that some

I have not got a whole lot of information because this happens
so early in the boot. Basically, no kernel since -22 works on
my Lenovo W520. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say it has
to do with some race condition in the systemctl set up. Even
in -22 I often must boot several times before

I've had to back off to using the old kernel. The latest update
brings in a kernal that causes the boot to repeatedly complain
that /run/lvm/lvmetad.socket has failed, and after sometime it
dumps into the initrd shell.

Ah, a bit more research. It looks like armhf is armv7 and that is
the aarch64. Please correct me if that is wrong.
