Binary package hint: torrentflux
There are many security vulnerabilities in the torrentflux version
present in Edgy that were fixed in later versions of the Debian package.
The Edgy version is based on Debian's 2.1-1, while 2.1-7 includes all of
the fixes to these security
I have successfully built a modified package that contains all these
fixes, and the debdiff for torrentflux_2.1-1ubuntu0.1 to
torrentflux_2.1-1ubuntu0.2 is attached. The changes are pretty simple,
though the debdiff runs to some 939 lines they are mostly just including
dpatch files that are
The debian package works fine in ubuntu gutsy, and they are using
python-wxgtk2.6. The only thing stopping this package from working was
the ubuntu change that used wxversion to try and select python-wxgtk2.4.
I created a new package for ubuntu that removes this change and uploaded

Yes, for me too, the wheel as well as the 2 side buttons are now working BUT
the side buttons work as if they where the middle button and the right button
(2 and 3 on xev, they were 8 and 9 on Edgy)

I have some great news i have got my 5 in 1 card reader working with SD
media cards.
I found the drivers here http://developer.berlios.de/projects/tifmxx
I have tested the drivers with a Canon 16MB SD card and SanDisk 512MB SD
card and have been able to read both cards with no problem, and both
sorry i got abit a head of myself above post with compiling the drivers
afterwards i realized that the 2.6.17-10-generic kernel already had the
driver.
so i removed the drivers that i compiled and installed and ran sudo
/sbin/depmod -ae
All I had to do from the start was from terminal type
sudo

I have fixed the side scroll for my synaptics touchpad, i had to fix my
xorg.conf file and put this info in

The above info was not set in xorg.conf file for the Synaptics Touchpad
when Edgy is installed.

nm-applet is the only applet with the multiple instance issue under Xfce
(as far as I'm aware). All other GNOME specific applets (which I've used
under Xfce) run perfectly.
