I've tested it, and it seems that Ubuntu 8.04 didn't detected the modem when it was installed (it is a fresh install). Aren't Agere LT Winmodems supported out of the box? The modem appears listed when running lspci command, but the module is not running. -- LT Modem not working properly

Hi, Pablo. Since this bug was reported a while ago, things have changed. Now I have a broadband connection which uses the ethernet card, and works perfectly. I don't have the old phone line anymore, so I can't test if the problem persists. I'm not very sure about this, but it seems to me that the
