At least on my beagleboard, this appears to be a lack of memory issue.
It7s replicable arbitrarily over several reboots until I add a swap
file, after which X comes up (although running GDM, rather than auto-
launching oem-config). Tested with maverick alpha-3 image.

This merge didn't happen for lucid, and there's a newer version in
Debian now, which should be merged for maverick. Marking this bug
won'tfix, as it's not had activity for a couple months, and would

I believe aptoncd was written for this specific purpose. I would not be
surprised if some hinting was required to make this work cleanly with
software centre, but it oughtn't require the development of new
technology.

Based on some limited testing, removing the quotes breaks both gksudo
and kdesudo for me. These can be fixed by appending -- to the command
line to tell gksudo or kdesudo to not consider the following elements as
arguments. This change also works for the sudo case, where sudo knows
