Researching more, I see POSIX has NO way to disable mtime updating while
calling write()'s, so there is no way to atomically leave a partial file
with an mtime=0 mark while using --inplace.
"rsync --update --partial" (no --inplace) can do it because it transfers

When you are using two monitors and you try to switch between
workspaces, both monitors switches to the same workspace (so, each
monitor shows a different area of the SAME workspace). If you try to
change this behavior by setting the parameter at "Desktop -> Desktop

Not the original bug reporter, but I can confirm that I can now access
shares on Windows 7 servers. It prompted for a password (even though the
Windows machines are setup to not ask for credentials), but entering my
password for my own system worked. Shared printers are working again
too.

This is the evtest output. Note, I must choose /dev/input/event1, if I
choosed /dev/input/event0 no events for these keys are shown. Using
/dev/input/event1 I can see the events for the Scan key, Zoom-in, Zoom-
out BUT NOT Flip-key (the one in the bottom row as seen in my attached
keyboard photo).

I'm having this exact problem too. Screen goes off, but immediately it
goes on again, in blank mode (which is my screensaver). I'm running
Ubuntu Karmic with the latest updates. I have an Intel graphic chipset,
X3100 (GMA965).

Solved it in VLC changing the XVideo adaptor number to 1.
To do this go to Tools-Preferences, select All in Show settings,
then go to Video-Output modules-XVideo and change XVideo adaptor
number value to 1. This will force VLC to use video overlay instead
of textured.
