Hello everybody,
I confirm this bug. Same problem here. The slider is buggy. I also
installed Ubuntu SDK. Despite reinstalling the indicator-sound package
and dependencies, the problem is still remaining... Removing SDK does
not change the problem.

Another MBP 5.2 owner here, using Debian unstable with legacy bios boot,
amd64, alsa-driver 1.0.20 and patch posted above.

I'm also experiencing trouble with this module. I've got one of the low-
cost Dell Vostro A860 laptops.
It still works but badly, it oftens disables itself (simply no function
anymore without any obvious reason). I then have to do 'sudo ifdown
eth0' 'sudo ifup eth0' to make it work again (but
I got about the same errors with linux-image-2.6.25.2-2-386 and 2.6.27-9
after trying to upgrade to intrepid. My firefox also started tilting,
while trying to browse pages with java-scripts. Now I lost my dvd-drive.
Should I downgrade, or could it raly have to do with nvidia-module?

I have the same problem. When I activate or desactivate a repository
(always with backports for example), adept updates and then crashes with
a similar report:

I use Kubuntu Gusty and I have that same problem.
Before Feisty failed when it was mounted as camera, but at the same time
it mounted as usb storage and I could explore my camera folders the same
is a pendrive, for example.
Kubuntu Gusty only mounts as camera:// and always fails.
