I can confirm this bug, and I'm using alpha 2 candidate. Also, sometimes
closing the 'emptied' application menu crashes Unity, is unable to
recover and leaves the desktop empty from all panels, and only desktop

I had the exact same problem. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 with latest updates
on Asus EeePC 1000H.
Installing libsdl1.2-debian-pulseaudio and removing libsdl1.2-debian-
alsa fixed the problem for now. This bug should get a bit more
attention, since it seems that Hedgewars isn't the only program

Okay, I've been trying to trace the problem now. It seems that during
boot up Gnome Do somehow automatically starts itself two times in a row
thus leading to the situation where neither of the opened GD's respond
to commands, so I have to kill them both from the task manager before I
reopen the

I seems that this bug was fixed in an update already in Jaunty. Either
Karmic doesn't suffer from this problem after upgrading. Therefore I
suggest changing the status of this bug to fixed/solved.
