i've fixed by using alien to unpack fix the leading / in front of the

I have this issue, it appears to be caused by Network manager not being
able to cope with previously defined debian interface files.
I saw this for the first time when upgrading/installing via net-

This bug is a bit more severe on laptops. Because it puts continual
background strain on processors it leads to very high running temps but
otherwise a responsive system. users who are unaware of the problem risk
hardware failure or at least decrease lifetime.
For example on my core2 7400 it will

Public bug reported:
Suspending using the gnome logout menu does not return from resume.
On resume hdd activity etc all work, and screen backlight comes on. But
system appears locked (no led indicator on capslock key press).
This does not happen when suspend is invoked from gnome-power-manager

Confirmed behaviour in fedora 8, on dell xps m1210 with both 80gb
hitachi and 120gb seagate. On resume drive aggressively spins down.
Fix:
add 99-hdd-spin-fix.sh
to
/etc/pm/config.d
/etc/pm/sleep.d
/etc/pm/power.d
where 99-hdd-spin-fix.sh
Contains the lines:
#!/bin/sh
hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda
I get both issues appearing, 100% usage and massive index.
I mount nfs shares in my home dir ;-/ it's the only place many people
are allowed to mount things on multiuser systems. However it seems that
trackerd should default to not crossing filesystems by default.
