This problem has only a heat of 18. As Ubuntu 16.04 will roll out, this
issue will have much more attention. I'd suggest, there should be a fix
before the release. "Eclipse not working" is a blocker imho.
Confirmed:
Works by using this start command:
`env SWT_GTK3=0 UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 ./eclipse`
Fixed in debian since 10 May 2014, still not fixed in 14.04 LTS since
Aug. 2013. What can we do to help get this fixed into ubuntus
repositories?

Hi,
Yota's solution is working, but you won't receive upgrades. Luckily
there is another way, which will not interfere with any other packages.
A quick and clean solution is to install a virtual package fuse, which
depends on fuse-utils.
Check my blog on how to create such a package:
While the bindfs-dependency is obviously wrong, you could also repackage
fuse-utils to include Provides: fuse in DEBIAN/control.

Jim, we're not running Shotwell inside a vbox. We got Shotwell on our
