1) Adding a widget to the panel
2) Changing the icon of a Dolphin toolbar item (specifically, the Show Hidden

I think a better workaround than QtCurve is OxyGnome. Install that
theme for Gnome and you will notice that KDE can still use the Oxygen
theme and Gnome apps look very similar.
How do Kubuntu users install Gnome themes, short of installing the full
Gnome desktop?

Here is a screenshot of the user clicking Open With - Other and getting
the File Chooser dialog.
This is bad because the user expects a list of programs in Open With, he
does not expect to see his file hierarchy. This is the dialog that the
user should see if he chooses Save File, not Open With.

I would like to stress that the purpose of this bug report is _not_ to
advocate the return of Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, but rather to enable some
form of resetting the X server without having to have something
preconfigured (such as nozap). So far as I care, it could be C-A-B or

The issue was resolved in 8.04 for the machine in question. I am now
having similar issues with 8.10 on a different machine, I will file a

As for the OP, there is still no solution to the problem of the delay in
the calendar. The proposal earlier in the
Public bug reported:

suggest an option that passwords be accepted depending only upon which
keys are pressed, no matter which keyboard layout is
The languages that are not on the CD should be marked (asterisk, maybe) and a
note given that the installation of these languages will require internet
access. This is important for these reasons:
1) The installer hangs at 82% when it cannot connect to a slow server, which is
often the case
