I am runnning the distributed Ubuntu-package version of leafpad.
However, during my investigation of the problem I wanted to run it
through gdb and produce a useful backtrace to see where the error
occured. Thus, I needed debug symbols. As I could not find any -dbg

syslog-ng crashes
I am not sure what triggers this crash. It does not happen every time
syslog-ng would log a message, because it works most of the time. It
just happens to crash every now and then. It is hard to catch the crash,
because there is nothing in the logs -- obviously. So I have to catch it
in dmesg or
I just tried reloading and restarting syslog-ng. It did not crash.
However, I noticed this in dmesg:

I have just tested with a mainline kernel.
Result: much better performance. Results on Ubuntu 10.10 with the new
kernel was between 3 and 3.6 seconds.

I should add that when this happens, my computer almost grinds to a
halt. Everything becomes very slow and it feels unresponsive. Moving the

One other thing: I have noticed that the graphics card gets much more
hot with nouveau driver than with the nvidia driver. This makes it
practically impossible to use my laptop (Thinkpad T61p) on my lap.

In Konsole, when I move the mouse over the tabs, the mouse cursor disappears.

Clusterssh (cssh) is a handy application that allows me to administrate
multiple machines via ssh in parallel. However, this application
effectively stopped working in Kubuntu 9.10. It worked fine in Kubuntu
8.04 through 9.04.

When images are deleted, thumbnails are never removed from
~/.thumbnails. This causes .thumbnails folder to grow very big.
Steps to reproduce:
1: $ rm -f ~/.thumbnails/large/* ~/.thumbnails/normal/*
2: Start digiKam
3: Click Tools Rebuild All Thumbnails
4: $ du -sh
101 - 200 of 478 matches
