Karmic worked great for me. I like the revamped network manager applet and the sound applet.. It gives an option to boost volume system wide which is great for my laptop which has low sound. Madwifi now supports my atheros wireless card fully and i can now use the hardware wifi switch.. yay!!! Reg

I tried 4-5 times in my laptop (Compaq Presario 2800T) both by upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 and fresh installation. With both of them, system hanged for just opening Firefox. In one of the attempts, instead of opening Firefox, I tried by removing it just after installing OS, again system hanged. I
