I've got the same message. Doing
sudo start autofs
worked.
But I still was unable to make autofs start at boot where other dameon
depending on filesystem or on net-device-up where started as expected.
Any direction on how to debug the problem ?

I built qemu-kvm with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=noopt that replaces -O2 with -O0
and (after _long_ session) ran into this crasher:

it definately worked for three ubuntu-netbook builds now, i'm just

apache2-2-bin installs successfully, but when installing
apache2.2-common I got the same error. I did clean apt cache and
aptitude downloaded the latest package files.
I've updated from Kubuntu 9.10 i386, php did not work, tried to
reinstall, purge and install again all apache and php packages.
We're adding an API to krb5 to fix this for OpenAFS. Because of the way
the API is constructed, it's very difficult for GSSD to actually call

I got this bug with tftpd-hpa after an upgrade to Lucid. The solution
for me was to add `sleep 10s` to the script stanza in the /etc/init
/tftpd-hpa file.
Running `initctl restart tftpd-hpa` properly starts in.tftpd if it fails
during system startup, so it follows that there could be a race.

BTW, I'm running tftp-hpa 5.0-11ubuntu2, which is current for Lucid.
This bug seems to depend on the order of network interface plumbing, and
probably expresses more frequently if one interface is configured by
DHCP or is otherwise slow. My guess is that this bug does not express
on computers
So how does one start and stop ssh? I used to use the /etc/init.d script
to start and stop sshd, which no longer works. If I kill the sshd
process a new one starts up.
