Installing that version (rsync_3.1.1-3 from the Vivid repo in this case - no
dependency problems) on the machine initiating (which is also the target) the
rsync didn't fix it.
However, installing it on the source machine as well seems to have fixed the
problem.

FYI.. this is probably related to SSHD and not ubuntu. This happens on
archlinux as well, and may have something to do with DNS lookups that
are forwarded through the SSH proxy. Changing AddressFamily inet in
sshd_config may help, as that prevents the dns from doing ipv6 lookups.

Hi,
I am convinced this bug is partially fixes, though not completely. I can
recreate the issue very simply:
1) As a first point, let's use KVM/libvirt/Essex release on Ubuntu 12.04
(up to date as of 5/11/2012);
2) Create a volume (pick a size);
3) Attach that volume to a VM, supplying,

is an entropy shortage issue. (kadmind -W should force the use of weak
random data)

I had to modify the original patch a little to to get it to work (set it to 1
instead of 0 for tgt):

For essex, I see driver.py has changed anyway and now has that fix in
the iscsi.py helper script.
