Per the above error in your log, did you define a capture card in
mythtv-setup? If so, please delete and re-add
Thanks. That was indeed very helpful and I am now much further forward,
although I still ended up going round the same circle including the same
"no UPnP" message when I run mythtv backend setup.
Having performed the tweak advised in bug #556204 of editing and saving
/etc/init/mythtv-backend.conf

I have a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.04 and am trying to run the mythtv
backend setup for 0.23 mythtv.
It looks to me as though this is the problem I am having too.
If I can contribute please let me know, although I am only a beginner (not a
complete newbie) so will need guidance.
