We're going with F1. KDE uses Esc but since we can't use that in Compiz this is the closest we could get. -Cory -- Ubuntu-Studio-devel mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-devel

my 2 cents: dont strip any functionality or feature in order to play nice with compiz... anyone running it while simultaneously processing the heavy amounts of data required in audio/graphic editing is crazy! :D (imho) of course, a broken compiz will make ppl go crazy too On Feb 6, 2008 3:35 P

I'm against this grave key use. In keyboards for languages that use accents, like spanish... á é í ó ú to do "´" you have to hit the button twice, to diferentiate from "á" which is grave key and then letter. combined key commands requiring to hit one of the keys twice... weird! Luis On Feb 6, 20

Ok. I'm Proposing grave. Or the "Control" and "`/~" keys. Now this is bound to be different on a non-en_us keyboard so it needs testing. You can use this in a terminal to quickly test. USE ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! gconftool-2 -t str --set /apps/metacity/global_keybindings/run_comman

"Make sense" keymap to launch gnome-system-monitor?

Ubuntu Studio has decided to add a keymap to launch gnome-system-monitor. Most windows users see this as a equivalent to Ctrl+Alt+Del. That is of course already mapped and launches the logout dialog. So we decided to use the keys KDE uses to launch their monitor. Ctrl+Esc. This works out great in
