I was introd to Linux in 2005 and since just loved it.
I use Blender and graphic software mainly and now looking for ubuntu
studio in South Africa, but don,t know where to get it.
Not able to download, no private internet connection.

Yes, the sound eventually did work (after a lot of trial error
self help on the internet) using the SB-awe alsa driver, just not
anything to do with JACK.

Me too (though their newest stuff doesn't look like they're playing ball with

linux systems (CMI-8738 chip) $12.98 (Can).
