but I am only at what I believe at 2.6.32-25 lowlatency. I don't have sound
and there've been no auto updates and don't know how or what to do to get
sound for the first time since I built kubuntu version of lucid lync

What audio hardware are you running? Also. Don't forget to check your sound
preferences. I find mine muted after a fresh install.

tell you the audio tonight; but this is not a fresh install; rather it's an
8.049.049.1010.04 LTS Kubuntu built up with Ubuntu Studio. I last had
sound with Karmic. Being in my elder years alone, I have not managed to
