Always keep your dedicated backups updated in case of any failure and you
should be fine.
Btrfs just has known issues with parity-RAIDs (5/6) and only in special cases.
Don't use any custom mounting options, just let it do its thing. Don't use
compression, if you don't absolutely have to.

I suppose I should have asked here first (although we did discuss it on
the local LUG's mailing list), but I just set up a btrfs RAID10 array
for video editing (4 X 2T drives). Any comments (don't use RAID10, don't
use btrfs, &c.)? It seems to work well so far, and I'll be ordering an
extra disk as
