Dimension 9100, dual 3mgz 4G memory, 500G hd Nvidia 6800 two screens.. New Raring Ringtail downloaded last night.. Reboot after install hung after regurgitating the dvd.. Fine after hard restart. Flashplugin-installer failing (do I really need it).. Monitors working nicely. --

Joseph Ronne, Did you check the image, MD5SUM and the DVD after it was burned? How did you try to install the Flashplugin-installer, seperated or through the recommende xubuntu-restricted-extras? Because i've had no issues here on my Ubuntu Studio install and flash is working. I'd also check the

Everything else seems to work fine, so far. But my eyeballs are going to go all wonky if I have to keep looking at 1280x1024 on a 1680x1050 screen. Went to help page; it says work in progress and shows the dialog box with 1680x1050 on top. Very frustrating. Should I try to fix, reinstall, or

The same happened to me, I just had to update my nvidia drivers. Go to 'software sources' and in the 'additional drivers' tab select the driver. I installed nvidia-310 (propietary-tested) it fixed my display. Perhaps if after installing the driver it is not properly configured, run these commands:
