After migrating from UKFSN about 4 months ago, I went with plusnet,
depends on what you want, but the unlimited service I find is good, you

You just need to set your Ubuntu machine to ethernet and plug it in to
the eth1 port on the router, I assume that the router is already setup

Hi, I have set up a server with shared folders via NFS.
e.g. share point/dir1

How do I share this properly? So that the client sees all 3 directories
rather than a broken link for dir3?
Thanks Ken

Josh asked about usb broadband modems.
I used one very successfully on 8.04 (eee version) on my 702 with no

I installed the latest network manager (0.7) on 8.04 and this has the

In reply to multiple posts...
1. I use the dvd drive allot, I view/burn many dvd's and if it is going
to re-insert it on eject then not on.
2. I still have another 2 machines running with 8.04 (xbuntu) and 8.10
(with some issues) but this is my main pc and the issues I have had
since upgrading
Since I installed 8.10 64bit as a fresh install, when I eject a cd
(using right click eject) it immediately closed it again before I have
time to remove the cd.
Due to the high number of issues I am going to be removing it and trying
a different distro.
