For myself, the following PDF opens automatically in Evince:
Maybe it's some DRM that prevents the file being re-used, and is tied to
Acrobat.
Just a guess, since we still use the stamps you buy in the post office!

has anybody noticed that we (linux users) cannot open pdf postage from the
royal mail website? It seems to be forcing me to install acrobat. I could have
sworn i could do this before. Or am I missing something?--

Using Chrome, the pdf just downloads and I open it and print it using
Evince. A website shouldn't be able to define a different action for a file
type to the one defined in the browser's settings.
