The screen never came back, i waited 2 hours just to see. I had to
restart the computer, but i never tested the cntrl+alt+backspace because
its off. It was blank on the laptop screen, no external monitors. This
happens at unpredictable times, but within an hour or two it goes blank.

Yes 2.6.31-2 seems to have fixed this issue. 2.6.31-1 crashed on boot
for me.

Do you have a seperate bug for the blue colors? I know what the problem
is. The Xv saturation ranges have changed and nvidia-settings isn't
adjusting it on upgrade. You can lower the slider below 0, then save,
then raise the slider back to 0 and save again to fix that.

After the autogen step, there was no Makefile. I had Makefile.am and
Makefile.in. I am thinking they are for amd or intel, but the MiniN ote
is a Via processor. So what do I do?

I turned on Compiz and the System is freezing after a few minutes. Tried
the workaround setting AGPmode to 1 / 2 / 4, doesn't help.
