Actually, this isn't quite a nouveau bug; the problem here is that the
initramfs forcibly loads the i915 driver before pretty much anything

It seems to happen only when playing with open office but i had the same kind
of issue with intrepid on my previous computer with completely different
hardware and the way to reproduce the crash was just to use gdesklet or system
monitor.

by default, my system boots fine with KMS. If I use the default kernel
which has KMS disabled by default, and change the boot manager
