Hey everyone.
I have been hacking away at appletouch.c for a little while now and have had
minor success on various fronts. The reason I am looking at appletouch, not
synaptics, is because ideally we want the driver to not 'average' the mouse
position when 2 fingers are being used.
I haven't tried that, but as I understand it, they are tightly
integrated and it's the DRM module that is crashing the system anyways,
not the radeon driver piece, however the driver DOES need to be updated
to solve the problem too. The radeon package only contains the xorg-
driver loadable
Correction to above. WoW OpenGL mode for wine works just fine with
these drivers with a few minor glitches: disappearing text inside
buildings and classic white minimap problem, but the D3D mode performs
equally well with less problems. The current drivers just hard lock the
system.

I think I am experiencing the same issue. Again Dell Inspiron 1501 with
ati 200m card and ubuntu jaunty. The external monitor is hp 1955 with
native resolution 1280x1...@60. The monitor is not recognized and i use

This problem also occurs with the live CDs for Karmic Alpha 4 and Alpha
6. I am continuing to use an xorg.conf file, as above, in my Karmic
installation on this laptop, in order to restrict screen resolution to
1024x768 and lower. Again, refer to #296142 for some details.

Alas, scratch that. The mapping is still weird just this time around it's the
flat screen where I can't reach the bottom section of the screen since the
16:10 tablet is mapped to the 4:3 monitor without it being stretched.
It's the same for the 8.3-2 Version though so not worse either and, as
I understand there is a module that will cause X to use pulseaudio to
play the bell instead of the pc speaker:

As Ronan Mentions, I still had to modify the .fdi in order to use
wacomcpl but apart from that everything works for me. Using a Cintig 12
WX at 1280x800 and a flat screen at 1280x1024 and a Geforce 8800GT
running the proprietary drivers with TwinView horizontal. I can switch
screens and the
