I can confirm the same problem and the fix with reseting hue to default.
What is really wierd is that VLC gets affected too! And it is affected
in real time (playing video with vlc and changing settings from totem).
Are those settings of Totem or it is just a UI for gstreamer?

normal parameters (about 5%). I tried to reboot and at the first reboot
the CPU showed a normal behaviour. At second reboot all is as previously

I try to install linux-generic-pae for my 32-bit system that it have 4

When I start with the new kernel, the screen flicker quickly forever and

Backing off to the 173 driver in Karmic doesn't fix this issue for me.
I'm still seeing random lockups with a 9600GT (have tried with 2
different cards). No issues with an 8800GT though. From what was said by
the OP, it seems to be a 9600 issue.

It's seems that I'm unable to turn off LVDS on my MSI Wind. What's weird is a
fact, that I'm using my Wind with external monitor (VGA1) and, when LVDS1 is
disabled, screen suspend works (on VGA1).

attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log or Xorg.0.log.old file from after reproducing this issue.

can't seem to edit/delete my last post, so please ignore it.
in reality, as far as i can tell, installing wacom-tools on fresh
install of karmic WORKS out of the box with the above xorg.conf,
including rotation etc...
