1) Press 'ESC' at the GRUB bootloader
2) Choose the current image but in 'Recovery Mode'
3) Pick 'xfix'
4) Resume normal boot

Maybe the problem caused by an unclean upgrade. I'd no errors and all seems
correctly installed. But I tryed to reinstall from kubuntu karmic rc1 cd again

After apt-get update apt-get upgrade and downloading 127mb of
archives and noting xserver-xorg-video-ati wasn't in the upgrade list
but other xorg packages were in the list proceed with apt-get install
xserver-xorg-video-ati reported xserver-xorg-video-ati is the latest
version. Then
I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 RC 32bit with the PAE kernel and I have the same
issue when I try to use the 185.x nvidia drivers from the repository.

I can't boot the amd64 live cd at all, so I can't paste any of that. Do
you want me to paste what you requested from the working 9.04

hi,
I did more testing today.
It does not seem to be problem of cursor itself.
It seems to be related with HW.
I resumed from suspend and cursor was locked. Than I have pluged in
my USB mouse and cursor works fine. If I have my mouse pluged in
all the time there is no problem. So it looks like
