session. Could you describe exactly what happens?
- Could you attach the output of `dmesg` from when it doesn't work?

Had this problem this morning too when I installed 9.10. Tried different things
and ultimately I reconfigured my BIOS to use 256 MB instead of 64MB (default)
for the on board video. And the mouse cursor is right now :) Give it a try .

During grub boot (or in /boot/grub/menu.lst) edit the kernel options to include

I have just installed the latest nvidia driver 180.22 however there
seems to be a problem. When using metacity, the screen is always drawn
properly. However when using compiz the screen is not displayed properly
initially. It seems as if the
