could be driver issue.. looking at the binary hints some more, I tend to
think he's right since dkms is not present as well as the listing in

screen, whether run normally or in safe mode, when I attempt to run
ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso off the install disk. In my case, the

I got this running the daily alternate iso from 2010 Feb 9.
It gave a popup of: SystemError: installArchives() failed
Most of the time, I could close the window, sometimes, I could not.
Also, it looks like a jockey-backend process keeps running in the
background.

With some of last karmic's updates (proposed and backports flagged on) we have
2 choices:
1) With EXA mode there is no more we to watch videos, but notifies are working
like a charm;

install ppa-purge, then sudo ppa-purge xorg-edgers to go back to stock
lucid. the lucid packages are all higher version numbers than the karmic

Using live CD alpha 2 - amd64 with or without "compiz" my screen is flashing
on mouse move or when an application is updating a window.
