I'm pretty sure that when the bug first appeared (in Jaunty) I was running the same version of nvidia's drivers in both Intrepid and Jaunty, and Intrepid didn't have the problem. Note it's not just the nvidia driver that has a problem - VirtualBox's video driver also doesn't refresh the screen.

This problem has not been fixed as of lucid beta or the March 28 daily lucid build (I just tested both with the same result as before). The issue seems to affect users with LCD TV's (and possibly nvidia video cards) but the bug disapears when one plugs in their computer to an LCD monitor.
