This is not an issue. My main point on this was to explicitly
have the pae headers specified. But since it looks for linux-headers .. it just
happens to work. There was another bug I had with this, and the decision was to
stick with just depending on linux-headers.

I have just done:
aptitude install libgnome-window-settings1=1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4
and compiz is back to normal.
I suspect this package (its version 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1) caused my compiz to go
berserk after upgrade on 5th May.

Every now and then my system sporadically hangs for 2-3 seconds. I
haven't determined a pattern or cause for hanging, although it appears
to be related to new windows coming up (instantiating gnome-do or a new

Brand new install of 10.04 onto a formatted hard drive. The upgrade icon
said there was a restricted driver available - I clicked it. When I was
running a Windows XP VMWare image, the video seemed to completely reset.
I had to shut down and restart.
