I just update my kubuntu netbook to Lucid Lynx 10.04 and now it works better

PS/2 mouse doesn't work at all
I tried testing with a Maverick daily build around July 20, but I
couldn't collect any useful information because the boot hangs 100% of

Looks like installing latest drm-intel kernel fixes this issue. So this

it worked for me. I don't know detail about the module and its options:
