I have this issue too on my T61. I upgraded to 10.10.
After first suspend-resume, mouse and trackpoint only works after about
5 seconds. Second suspend/resume, the trackpoint stops working at all.
On third suspend/resume, both keyboard and trackpoint are unresponsive,
and remain so until i reboot
Could people having the issue add their .xsession-errors there?

One thing I've noticed which is way more damaging is that the .xsession-
errors and .xsession-errors.old quickly fill up my home partition by
repeatedly logging the same error. After about 15 mins the 19 gig free
space in my home partition is gone
I have the same left mouse click stop working problem. However, this
only occurs on my laptop that has a touch pad. Left clicking does not
stop working on the touch pad by itself (no external mouse attached) and
in tandem. Even when the external mouse looses its click, the touch pad
does not.
I tried the live session from CD with the „nomodeset” option, the result was
bad:
* Choosing „Try Kubuntu” dropped me to the tty2 console, „sudo service kdm
restart” dropped me to tty7, I see the cursor but nothing else, so I can't test

changed was /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-settings-daemon.desktop. I changed

I think this (not backporting) is most unfortunate; basically because it

I have uploaded a slightly newer version of this driver to my PPA as a
Lucid package.
The main difference now is that the 1024x600 resolution will only be
available if the BIOS has the Panel output mode enabled. Also, the
refresh rate was updated from 60Hz to 80Hz.

Guys, I must admit I jumped the gun a bit with my solution on #54. That
is not the real fix.
To tell if your problem is the race condition I mentioned run the
following 2 commands:
killall -9 gnome-settings-daemon
gnome-settings-daemon
At this point, your theme should be applied properly.
When do I take these logs? When the screen is goes off in 1080p mode? Or
do I take them in 720p mode? Does xserver-xorg-input-evdev do the HDMI
out or why do we want to log that?

I've got the intell 82845g/Gl[Brookdale-G]/GE and my system behaves as

I would have some additional comments.
I downloaded some new and old Ubuntu CD images, burned them, booted the
computer with the CDs, suspended it and finally resumed it. The
interesting result is that this issue is also presented in Ubuntu 10.10
Maverick but not presented in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
#68 worked for me as well, also on ssd.
Strangly enough though the problem did went away for me at some point,
not sure when though as i used a kill/restart gnome-settings-daemon
startup application and harly use nautilus. I just noticed that right
click was right again and disabled the start
