VPCCW without any problem. I did not try HDMI output but VGA output
works.

Just an update: since patching and installing the package I mentioned
earlier, I've had zero issues. In fact, I've actually noticed more
stability with Flash and some better graphics acceleration for some
animations, as well as fixes for other issues I had here. For example,
trying to watch YouTu

- Two monitors
- NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
- Bought a new GeForce 9500 GT from Best Buy and installed it - same problem
- Installed a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT - same problem
- Installed NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.29.run from nvidia - same problem
- I'm also running skype and google chrome
I think that what you are seeing is your laptop screen being overlaid on
your external monitor. Go to System, Preferences, Monitor.
I have laptop w. docking station and external monitor and the following worked
for me.
Drag and drop laptop screen so it does not overlap monitor
Go to System, Pref
Enabling "Indirect Rendering" did not work for me.

It seems it is a duplicate. I managed to fix the problem, however, by
upgrading my Savage driver for Xorg from the one that comes with Maverick
(1:2.3.1-2ubuntu2) to the latest one available on Debian's website (1:2.3.2-1).
But this is not currently available in Ubuntu's reposito
I think I fixed this by enabling "indirect rendering" in Compiz.

If you switching from text console (CTRL+ALT+F1) to Gnome (CTRL+ALT+F7)
for half of a second you will get this attached screen. A bit defective.

In 10.10 it's no problem with confused screen when switch to text console with
CTRL+ALT+F1.
The same is no problem after suspend to RAM.
But note: this is a special install of ubuntu 10.10 I have not installed it on
the laptop's HDD, I have done this with an other computer (with ATI Graphics),
The same problem appear in ubuntu 10.10 i can't use my Benq M310, in
other distro this work fine... only ubuntu the problem appear :(
