Actually @mrmagos, the static came in with the kernel upgrade, not the
6.14.0 driver. If you boot with the 2.6.38-3 kernel, you won't get
static.
But this bug isn't fixed by the driver upgrade.

The problem, unfortunately, is not yet solved. I've tested it and it
remains.
