Testing Natty by booting from a USB stick. I have syndeamon running at
close to 100% (noticed because the fan got loud).
Happens right after boot every time. Have to end the process. No USB
mouse connected. Happens on a Dell XPS Studio 16 Laptop.

attempt to use that PF key, xterm dies:

The problem here is that a segfault in a KDE program, which is not run
in a KDE desktop enviroment, is not caught by the KDE or GNOME crash
handlers and thus the entire user session simply logs out immediately

Ubuntu 10.10 crashes very often on my Acer T630
This bug seems to have been fixed ever since I've had Ubuntu 10.10
(64-bit) installed.
I can play them games in fullscreen - Supertuxkart and Trackballs -
without the bottom part being "chopped off".
Hopefully I won't have to file the same bug report in the next version
of Ubuntu.

Bryce, upstream is right. I had this bug on a fresh install of natty beta 2 and

I just said that the problem disappeared from my system, but this turns
out only to be partly true. When the Unity desktop is on for a few hours
it seems like some processes are slowly increasing memory. Like compiz
started at 70 MB Ram, but increased to 160 MB Ram in a few hours.
