The behavior I saw before shift, ctrl stopped working was that all
keyboard events and the mouse state were captured. The mouse moved, but
stayed as the guest OS's mouse icon (vs Kubuntu's). I could not get to

back any control.

I can both confirm the issue with the nvidia-driver and konsole/gnome terminal

Thanks, Joakim. On the contrary, that's quite interesting. The first
four bytes should never be all 0xff if the GPU is configured correctly
by the kernel. If the kernel has misconfigured the GPU in such a way
that it cannot respond to register reads, the driver has no hope of
working.

Madcatz Cyborg R.A.T. 7 focus issues
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When hovering mouse over applications, places, or system, on top panel,
when the pop up description appears the mouse pointer disappears. If I
touch the touchpad, the pointer reappears. Also, when computer boots to
desktop the mouse pointer is not shown.
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
The mouse pointer disappears right where the pointer type changes (i.e.
going from the regular cursor to the link selection cursor). This
happens on Ubuntu 11.04, both Classic (GNOME 2) and Unity 2D, and
Kubuntu 11.04. It did not happen on Ubuntu 10.10.
** Package changed: ubuntu = xorg (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu)
