Hello,
I noticed that several of you say that TwinView works out of Unity. I am
using Xubuntu, all latest patches applied, and TwinView does not work.
Nvidia-settings app simply hangs and will not work again, unless i
logout and login again.

This is not completely true. In Natty, it was possible to activate twinview on
2 external monitors if DFP-0 is disabled.
This was done via nvidia-settings.
However now, the nvidia-settings seems to crash when the same setup is applied.

When I was using Ubuntu Maverick, it was a pain to get my eGalax touch
screen working.
But when Natty came out, it worked right out of the box, except for the
inverted y-axis, which I didn't mind, since I could just reverse the y

Yes, this bug is something we can work around in compiz, as you found by
changing the frame rate. I suggest it is also possible to improve the
compiz code so that it avoids the issue and also avoids the need for a
very high frame rate. But wait and see, if and when I (or someone else)
