Just updated to the xorg-edgers PPA (mesa
8.0.0~git20120110.5a7c3433-0ubuntu0sarvatt), and the situation got a lot
worse. The game that originally produced the 7b009004 hangs, then (not
sure why) started to only produce 0x7a02 hangs, now produces

I have this same bug regularly as well. Only Nautilus seems to suffer
from it though, I haven't seen this problem in other applications yet.
My guess would also be that this is not an NVIDIA specific problem, but
I could be wrong, I do use the NVIDIA graphics driver as well.

Has a poke about in the BIOS, nothing really jumped out at me. There was
some XP specific options relating to shared video memory which are set
to auto and some legacy kb and mouse options which I have disabled (they
were enabled).

The repository warzone doesn't have an antialiasing option. etracer
does, but it doesn't mess with xorg. etracer just shuts itself down and
wont come back up without removing FSAA from the config.

Starting with Ubuntu 11.10, the key sequence Compose+apostrophe+c
produces the letter ç (c with cedilla) while the correct one should be ć
(c with acute). My compose key is mapped to the right menu key.
